BASIC TOUR

Day 1: Tel Aviv / Tiberias

Meeting and assistance at Ben Gurion airport. Transfer to your hotel in Tiberias for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Nazareth / Haifa

Drive to Cana to visit the place of Jesus’ first public miracle; changing water into wine. On to Nazareth to visit the Basilica of annunciation, the excavations under the Basilica the Franciscan Museum and St. Joseph’s workshop. Continue then with the Souk, the synagogue, Mary’s Well and St. Gabriel’s Church. Drive to Haifa and ascend Mt. Carmel. Visit Stella Maris Convent with Prophet Elija’s Grotto. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Tiberias.

Day 3: Tiberias / Mt. Tabor

Start the day with a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum to see St. Peter’s Memorial, St. Peter’s House and the VI century synagogue. On to Mt. Beatitudes, where Jesus gave his most famous address; the Sermon on the Mount. Continue to Tabgha, the site of multiplication of fish and loaves. Visit the Baptismal place on the Jordan River. Continue drive to Mt. Tabor and visit the church of Transfiguration. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Tiberias.

Day 4: Jericho / Qumran / Dead Sea / Jerusalem

Drive along the Jordan Valley to Jericho. Visit the ancient city, Elisha’s Spring, the Sycamore Tree, New City and view of Mt. Temptation.Further to Qumran and visit the excavation of the Essean Monastery and the Cave of the Scrolls. Drive via the Old Roman road to Jerusalem. En route visit the Sanctuary of Bathany. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 5: Ein Karem / Bethlehem

Drive to Ein Karem to visit the Church of Visitation and Church of St. John the Baptist. Continue drive to Shepherds Field. Bethlehem: Visit the asilica of Nativity: Chapel of St. Jerome, and the Crusader Cluster. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 6: Jerusalem

Visit Mount of Olives: Ascension Place, Church of Paternoster, Dominus Flevit, Virgin’ Tomb, Grotto of Jesus’ Arrest, Garden and Church of Gethsemane. Mount Zion to include: St. Peter in Gallicantu, the Cenacle and the Dormition Abbey. Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 7: Jerusalem

Start the day with a walking tour of the old city. Visit the Temple Area: see the Western Wall, the Dome of the Rock, Al Aksa Mosque, St. Anne Church and the Pool of Bethesda. Trace the final footsteps of Jesus as you walk the Via Dolorosa. See the Church of Flagellation, Ecce Homo Arch, Church of Resurrection (Calvary and Holy Sepulchre). Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 8: Jerusalem / Airport

Leave to airport for departure.
